We are a community of young believers seeking real relationship with God and each other. Vertex is that context for the youth ages 12-18 at Refuge Church. We desire to see the lives of teens changed and transformed through biblical teaching, discipleship, and the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives. This is accomplished through the various outlets we provide for the students.
We meet every Wednesday night at the church from 6:30-8:30, where students will experience biblical teaching, make friends, worship, and grow in grace. Students are encouraged to bring a Bible and invite their friends!
We want our students to take ownership of their faith. These discipleships groups are gender specific and meet bi-monthly on the first and the third Thursday of the month. The focus of these groups are to go a little deeper.
We want to model our relationships as Jesus did, who always poured into the people closest to him. We know that as a teen in todays world, there are many pressures. As a young believer, you may have more questions than answers. Vertex Discipleship Groups provides a context in which our leaders walk alongside students, point them towards a deep, real relationship with Christ.
We understand that part of being a believer and maturing as a Christian we should be showing the people around us the love of God. One completely practical way of doing this is taking part in the community where God has us. We encourage students to join together and participate in bother service projects and events in which they can invite their friends. We want to show our students that it is a better thing to give than receive.
